Gerard Kearns

Gerard Kearns is from Oldham, Lancashire and attended the Oldham Theatre workshop under David Johnson. Gerard is casted in the Accrington Pals at the Royal Exchange playing the part of Ralph; drawing in the audience with a natural performance.


Clive Rowe

Clive Rowe is from Oldham, Lancashire and attended the Oldham Theatre workshop under David Johnson. Clive originally appeared in the workshop’s touring musical Bugsy. In recent years he is best known for his wonderful performances as the all-singing and all-dancing Dame at the Hackney Empire; he also has many TV and film credits to his name, including a role in Doctor Who. The Ladykillers features a stellar cast including BAFTA winner Peter Capaldi and Clive as one of the unscrupulous gang member musicians.

Sacha Dhawan

Sacha Dhawan was born in Stockport. He attended David Johnson’s for several years before his big career break came. He spent two years in production at the National Theatre , Broadway and international tour with Alan Bennett’s the ‘History Boys,’ also starring in the feature film.  He returned to the NT once again and played one of the leads in ‘England People Very Nice’ directed by Nicholas Hytner.

Sacha will appear on BBC1 in January as ‘Neville Landless’ in Charles Dickens 'The Mystery of Edward Drood.' a challenging role.

David Johnson especially remembers him ‘superb’ in the classics as a youngster which he performed in Manchester and at the Edinburgh fringe!
